I have been researching a family member named Frederick Evans, born around 1890 who was Killed in Action at Passchendaele October 30, 1917
His Attestation papers dated December 15th, 1915, Registration Number 1000259, indicate that he Served in the Governor General’s Body Guard for 3 years prior to enrolling in 22nd Overseas Battalion.
Would you have any information that you could pass on about the time he served as a Governor General’s Body Guard?
