We are saddened to learn that GGHG WW II Veteran Sgt Neil MacDonald passed away at 12:30 am yesterday, June 23, 2010, in Innisville, Ontario at the age of 89.
Neil saw action in Italy during the war and was also one of the Horse Guards who guarded the Welland Canal. He was very active in the GGHG Association and served on the Executive. The family has indicated that there will be no funeral service and his remains will be cremated.
Neil will be fondly remembered by the surviving GGHG Veterans and we honour his service to Canada and the Regiment.
