David, MCpl. David Daniel (20 Nov 21)

Fellow Horse Guards:

The passing of loved ones during this pandemic has made it difficult for families in their time of grief and so it is for us as Horse Guards when we lose one of our own.

Sadly, we have learned that former Horse Guard and GGHG Association Member, David David, passed away on Saturday November 20, 2021 at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill after a period of illness. He was 56 years old. David served in the Regiment in the eighties until job commitments made it difficult for him to parade with us and he had attained the rank of Master Corporal. He was an attendee at our last Memorial Dinner at Denison Armoury in 2019 and was a current Member of the Association.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home at 114 Main St. E. in Milton 905-878-4452 from 1-4pm on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions in Halton, attendance is limited. Please book your visitation time slot online in the RSVP section to ensure your attendance. These booked visitation times are strict, so we ask that you show up for entrance at your allotted time. Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres from people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle. Please refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands and please keep your face mask on at all times.

On behalf of the Members of the GGHG Association and all who served with David, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his Dad and all of the David family on the loss of their loved one.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
